Hey everyone. I just recently wrote a poem...I was wondering what you thought of it. It doesn't have much of a rhyming scheme or rhythm. It's more of a free verse, but it expresses what I feel. That's all that matters right?
Do or Die Written by Laura Coleman Friday, Jan7th, 2005
Bloody wars, Cocky selves, New morality, Quiet bold. Nothing untested, Cautious lies, Media daunting, How am I?
I am angry, I am scared, I feel greedy, And lucky here. I am right, Or am I wrong? I can’t conceive of, The world we ‘own’.
Children dying, Ignored. Greedy lying, Wishes cured. Married men, Inconceivable. T.V. violence, Now that’s real.
The perspective, That I see, Is the honest one, One meant to be. The people now, Can’t believe it, It’s ‘superficial’, To sincerely quit.
Sincerely quit, All the shows, All the criticism, All the woes.
All the wars, All the ties, All the lies, All the B.S. we have endured during our lives!
Disaster stricken, People weep, Lives are taken, Where are we? Never-ending, Polluted skies, Constant rebellion, Do or die. Do or die. Do or die.

I really like it Laura...it's styled the way I used to write poems...hmmm...can't tell who trained ya hey? THe only suggestion is that Dallas thought it should say Die Bush Die...not Do or Die hehe.

LOL Julie
Okay, I want to apologize for not saying anything earlier.. When it comes to poetry or any type of writing I get lost. I'm not well with interpreting things at all or commenting on something someone worked hard on.
That just flows so well and in a way states how I feel.. I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
