Well, bad news on my end. I had another seizure... while I was driving. I didn't hit anyone, thank goodness. I had just come back from my house under construction meeting with the sheetrock guy and was in a hurry to get back and watch football. I had just passed through an intersection when I suddenly blacked out and could feel my car bumping and lots of bad noises. I ended up hitting a concrete retaining wall. Both airbags came out and my airbag gave me a good rough-up on my left arm and my seatbelts gave me some pretty nasty bruises, and some kind of whiplash feeling in my neck, but I wasn't going that fast so it didn't bother me very much. I was just able to walk away, but when I look at the crash site, things could have been much much worse. In front of the retaining wall were a fire station and an above ground gas tank about 20-30 feet away from the fire station. My Kia went right through the middle of them both, threading the needle, so to say. Fortunately like I said, I didn't hit anyone, and a police was directly behind me so help was on the way almost immediately. Stephanie was working at the hospital so I had the police call her sister to come pick me up and take me to their house. While at their house I had another seizure, so then I was taken to the emergency room, where they took my medicine blood levels, blood sugar, did an EKG, CT scan, X-Rays, and determined that everything was fine except for my medicine levels were low. They gave me a double dose and I was sent home. I just went back to my doctor this past wednesday and he upped my dosage on one of my medicines and also changed it's style. It's now an extended release, so hopefully that'll keep my good forever now. State law says no driving for 6 months, medical knowledge from the doctor states that once the medicine levels are under control, the seizures are under control, and that could happen as early as this Thursday. I've got to get my blood tested 3 Thursdays in a row just to make sure everything is ok, eat regular meals, make sure my medicine is taken at regular intervals 9am and 9pm +/- 1 hour. Hopefully everything will be ok. I'm sick of this. It affects everyone. But I am ok.
We are having the Kia worked on right now since the insurance finally got their stuff together. The estimated amount to fix the it is $10,700. I've seen cars vehicles driving around on the road that looked worse than mine. Just by looking at it you'd figure $2000 at most. Kia loves their parts I guess. Hopefully I'll get it back in a couple of weeks. It's gonna practically be brand new.
